한국사학진흥재단과 제주도가 지난 2일 오후 4시 제주도청에서 상호협력 및 사무위탁 협약식을 체결했다.

이번 업무 협약은 고등교육 분야 정책 연구 추진과 협력 프로그램을 기획․운영하는 등의 상호 교류를 활성화를 위해 마련되었다.

협약에는 양 기관이 2014년도에 제주특별자치도 설치 및 국제자유도시 조성을 위한 특별법에 따라 2014년도에 체결했던 예‧결산 및 기본재산 접수 등의 위탁 사무 범위의 현행화 등의 내용이 포함되었다.

대학 재정정보를 통합하여 관리함으로써 고등교육 정책연구를 위한 체계적인 대학 재정정보 제공과 다각적인 대학 재정분석이 가능해질 것으로 보인다.

KASFO 홍덕률 이사장은 “이번 협약을 통해, KASFO가 보유한 대학 관련 정보와 업무 전문성을 제주도와 함께 나누고 발전시킬 수 있기를 기대하며, 향후 지자체의 대학 관련 사항에 대한 상호 협력과 사무위탁이 활발해져 사립대학의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 든든한 버팀목이 될 수 있기를 희망한다”고 말했다.
