KASFO는 매년 사립대학 및 산학협력단에서 확정한 예산을 접수, 집계하여 대학 관련 정책 수립 및 연구 기초자료로 활용할 수 있도록 정부 및 유관기관에 제공하고 있으며 국민에게 투명한 대학 재정 현황을 공개하기 위해 ’대학재정알리미(재단)‘와 ’대학알리미(대교협)‘에 공시하고 있다.

올해 KASFO가 공개한 예산 공시 결과를 살펴보면, 올해 전체 사립대학의 예산 규모는 전년도와 비슷한 수준을 보였다.

2022회계연도 전체 사립대학의 예산 규모는 교비회계를 기준으로 23조 7,217억원 수준으로 2021회계연도 23조 6,490억원 대비 727억원(0.3%) 증가했다.

올해 국·공·사립대학 산학협력단 예산 규모는 12조 3,152억원이며국가연구개발사업에 대한 지원 확대 등의 사유로 2021회계연도 11조 2,795억원 대비 1조 357억원(9.2%) 증가했다.
