【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=한국사학진흥재단 행복기숙사 유한회사(대표이사 김찬규, 이하 ’행복기숙사’)가 경기도 오산시와 행복기숙사 지방자치단체 할당제 지원 협약을 체결했다.

KASFO는 대학생들의 주거 부담을 완화하기 위해 서울 홍제동, 서울 독산동, 서울 개봉동, 천안, 부산 부경대 등 전국에 5개 연합 기숙사를 운영하고 있으며 2023년 3월에는 대구 행복기숙사(대구 중구) 개관을 앞두고 있다.

이 가운데 29일 경기도 오산시는 행복기숙사에 총 70명의 쿼터를 확보하여 입시생의 월 기숙사비 일부를 부담하는 내용으로 한국사학진흥재단 행복기숙사 유한회사와 협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약으로 오산시를 포함한 총 16개 지자체 출신 대학생  684명이 행복기숙사를 이용할 수 있게 되었으며, 지자체가 학생들에게 연간 약 4억원의 장학금을 지원하여 주거비 부담을 줄이게 됐다. 

업무협약식에 참석한 김찬규 행복기숙사 대표이사는 “이번 행복기숙사 지방자치단체 할당제 지원 협약을 통해 오산시 출신 대학생들이 안정적인 주거환경을 보장받아 학업에 매진할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”면서 “앞으로도 대학생들의 주거 부담 완화를 위해 지속해서 타 지자체와의 협력을 확대해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
