【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=한국사학진흥재단(이하 “KASFO”, 이사장 홍덕률)이 사학혁신 지원사업 1주기 종합 자문회를 개최했다고 22일 밝혔다.

지난 21일 개최된 자문회는 사학혁신 선도대학(이하 “선도대학”)의 성과를 최종 점검‧보완하고, 지속가능한 혁신사례를 공유하기 위해 마련되었다.

KASFO는 법인혁신이 사립대학 발전으로 이어지는 선순환 모델을 창출하기 위해 5개 선도대학을 선정해 2년간(‘21-’22) 회계투명성 확보, 법인운영의 책무성, 법인운영의 공공성, 교직원 인사 민주성, 법인(대학) 자체혁신 등에 대한 과제 발굴 및 이행을 지원했다.

이에 5개 선도대학은 학교의 상황과 특성에 맞춰 분야별 혁신성과를 도출했다. 

특히 회계시스템을 도입해 내부통제 강화, 예·결산 의결 과정의 구성원 참여 확대, 재정정보 공개 확대 등 회계투명성 확보 분야에서의 성과를 거두었다.

또한 법정 기준 이상 개방이사 선임, 이사 중임기간 제한, 설립자 친인척의 이사장 제한 등 법인운영 공공성 분야에서의 성과로 사학의 민주성과 공공성을 높였다.

사학혁신 지원사업 기획·운영위원장 임재홍(한국방송통신대 법학과) 교수는 “짧은 기간에도 불구하고 5개 선도대학이 주요 분야에서 괄목할만한 성과를 이뤘다”면서 “사업 종료 후에도 혁신성과가 지속‧확산될 수 있도록 선도대학의 자발적 노력과 책임이 필요하다”고 강조했다.
