플로깅(Plogging)이란? 이삭을 줍는다는 뜻의 스웨덴어 플로카업(Plocka upp)과 영어 달리기(Jogging)의 합성어로, 걷거나 뛰면서 쓰레기를 줍는 환경보호 활동을 말한다.
지난 19일 KASFO 임직원은 직접 플로깅에 참여하며 공공기관으로서 탄소중립 실천과 기후위기 대응에 대한 인식 확산에 앞장섰다.
뿐만 아니라 ESG경영을 위한 사회공헌 활동으로 ▲건물에너지관리시스템(BEMS) 구축 ▲지구의 날 친환경 캠페인 ‘Green Earth, Green Us’ 실천 ▲에너지 지킴이 운영 ▲다회용 컵 사용하기 등 다양한 환경 보호 활동을 펼치고 있다.
아울러 온실가스 감축을 위해 동절기 실내 난방온도를 17도 이하로 유지하고, 전기차 충전시설을 확대하여 18일부터 시행된 ‘공공기관 에너지 다이어트 10’을 적극 이행할 계획으로 ESG경영에 대한 사회적 관심 증가 가운데 이와 같은 노력은 귀감이 될 것으로 기대된다.
KASFO 홍덕률 이사장은 “환경을 지키는 일은 작은 실천에서부터 시작된다. ‘KASFO 탄소중립 실천 플로깅’을 통해 환경보호 활동이 확산되길 바라며, 앞으로도 공공기관으로서 탄소중립 실천에 적극 앞장서겠다.”고 말했다.
