농촌융복합산업지구 조성사업은 농산물의 생산·제조·가공·유통·관광 등 1·2·3차 산업화기반이 집적된 곳을 농촌융복합산업지구로 지정하고 공동인프라 조성 시설·장비, 제품 및 브랜드 개발, 홍보마케팅 등을 지원함으로써 일자리와 부가가치를 동시에 창출하는 사업이다.

고령 딸기 농촌융복합산업지구는 올해부터 2026년까지 총 사업비 30억원(국비 15억)을 지원받아쌍림면, 대가야읍, 덕곡면 3개 면의 총 179ha 규모로 쌍림농협농산물가공센터 인프라 보완, 안림딸기마을 창업허브조성, 딸기 스타트업 육성, 고령 딸기 브랜드 홍보 및 마케팅 사업 등을 추진할 계획이다.

이남철 고령군수는 “이번 공모사업 선정은 경상북도와 고령군이 함께이뤄낸 값진 결과”라며 “고령 딸기의 생산·가공 기반과 체험·관광·창업 자원을 연계해 농촌 융복합 산업지구 성공 모델로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
