【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구시는 노후산단 재생사업의 일환으로 시행한 대구 염색산업단지 재생사업을 완료했다고 7일 밝혔다.
대구시는 지난 2015년 7월 국토교통부의 노후산단 재생사업 공모에 신청해 선정되면서 염색산업단지 재생계획 구상을 시작했으며, 사업 시행을 위해 2018년 재생사업지구 지정·고시하고 2020년 재생사업지구계획 승인·고시를 마쳤다.
노후산단 재생사업은 노후 기반시설의 개선을 통해 기업 활동을 지원하는 것으로 염색산단 재생사업은 서대구 고속철도역사 개통에 대비한 비산교 확장(4차로→5차로), 내부 도로 및 노상주차면 정비, 주차난 해소를 위한 노외주차장(3개소) 조성 사업 등을 추진했다.
이번 재생사업으로 주 도로인 비산교를 기존 4차선에 우회전 1개 차선을 확장하여 출퇴근 시 상습 정체에 따른 교통혼잡을 완화할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
특히 산업단지 내 노외주차장 3개소(252면) 확충으로 고질적인 주차난과 불법 주정차에 따른 통행 불편을 다소 해소할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
조경동 대구시 산단진흥과장은 “이번 재생사업을 통해 염색산단 내 입주업체가 보다 좋은 환경에서 기업 활동을 영위할 수 있는 산업공간으로 거듭나는데 보탬이 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
