【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=제61회 경북도민체육대회가 21일 오후 5시 울진종합운동장에서 ‘하나되는 화합울진, 미래향한 경북체전’이라는 구호로 개회식을 갖고, 4일간 열전에 돌입한다.

20일 경북도에 따르면 도민 소통과 화합의 장이 될 이번 도민체전은 23개 시군에서 1만1천여 명의 선수․임원이 지역의 명예를 걸고 경기를 벌이게 된다.

시(市)부는 30개 종목, 군(郡)부는 16개 종목에 참가해 울진종합운동장 외 36개 각 종목별 보조경기장에서 그동안 갈고 닦은 기량으로 선의의 경쟁을 맘껏 펼친다.

이날 개회식에는 이철우 경북도지사를 필두로 대구·경북지역 주요 인사들을 비롯한 체육계 관계자들이 참석해 참가 선수들에게 아낌없는 응원과 격려를 보낼 예정이다.

식전행사에서는 울진문화원 국악공연과 가수 최누리와 풍금의 축하공연이 이어져 공식행사 시작 전 개회식의 흥을 돋울 계획이다.

화려한 식전행사가 끝난 후 공식행사는 카운트다운 퍼포먼스를 시작으로 각 시군 1천200여명의선수단 입장, 환영공연, 임종식 경북도교육감의 개회선언, 손병복 울진군수의 환영사, 대회기 게양, 김점두 경상북도체육회장의 개회사 및 이철우 경북도지사의 대회사, 체육인 헌장낭독, 내빈축사, 선수단 대표 선서, 성화맞이 공연 및 성화점화 순으로 진행된다.

뒤이어 식후행사는 오후 7시 25분부터 70분간 가수 이무진밴드의 첫 무대를 시작으로 정미애, 박군, 홍자, 스테이씨, 그리고 트로트 가수 정동원의 엔딩공연을 마지막으로 축하공연을 빛낼 예정이다.

도민체전의 꽃인 성화봉송은 20일 망양정 해맞이공원과 경주 토함산에서 채화를 시작해 10개 읍면을 순회하며 각계각층 군민들이 참여하는 봉송으로 이뤄진다.

성화봉송 주자로는 체육계 공로자 및 꿈나무 선수가 입장해 이철우 경북도지사 및 손병복 울진군수의 성화합화 후 최종주자로 울진군청 소속 사격 국가대표 권은지 선수와 울진 출신 신영철 프로배구감독 (우리카드)이 성화점화를 진행한다.

한편, 대회기간 중 미술·사진전 등 각종 문화공연 행사도 개최된다. 23개 시군 농특산품 홍보 판매장, 케이터링 행사 등 다채로운 볼거리와 먹거리, 즐길 거리가 울진종합운동장 내 부대행사장에서 진행된다.
