26일 경상북도개발공사는 국무총리 직속기관인 개인정보보호위원회 주관 ‘2022년 개인정보관리수준진단’에서 최고등급(S등급)을 받아 개인정보보호 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

공사에 따르면 개인정보보호위원회는 개인정보보호법에 따라 매년 전국 공공기관을 대상으로 개인정보보호 관리체계, 개인정보 보호대책 및 침해대책 등 3개 분야 23개 항목 67개 세부지표 대해 1차 자체진단과 2차 외부전문가 진단을 통해 개인정보관리수준진단평가를 실시하고 있다.

공사는 지난해 9월에도 개인정보 처리 단계별 모니터링, 개인정보 유출대응 모의훈련 실시, 개인정보보호 우수부서 인센티브제도 시행 등 임직원 보안의식 제고와 개인정보보호 문화 확산 노력에 대해 높이 평가 받아 ‘제2회 개인정보보호의 날’ 개인정보보호위원회 위원장(장관)으로부터 개인정보보호 유공기관 표창을 수상한 바 있다.

이재혁 사장은 “이번에 개인정보보호 우수기관으로 선정된 결과는 임직원 모두가 개인정보보호에 대한 중요성을 인식하고, 보안의식을 높이며, 최상의 관리수준을 유지하기 위한 지속적인 노력의 결실”이라며“앞으로도 개인정보보호를 더욱 강화하고, 고객들의 소중한 개인정보를 지켜 신뢰받는 공사가 되도록 노력하겠다.” 고 밝혔다.
