경상북도는 지난 2월 20일 ‘저출산과 전쟁’을 선포하고 경북 사회복지공동모금회와 함께 ‘경북 저출생극복 성금모금 캠페인’을 추진 중이며 이번 캠페인을 통해 조성된 재원으로 저출생 극복 대책 마련에 박차를 가할 예정이다.
경상북도개발공사는 경상북도의 정책 기조에 발맞춰 올해 저출생대책T/F를 구성해 저출생 극복 시범주택인 ‘행복드림주택’ 사업 추진에 나선다.
‘행복드림주택’사업은 저출생 극복을 위한 공사의 공공임대주택 사업으로 경북도청 신도시 내 시범공급 예정이다.
입주 신혼부부가 자녀 출산 시 자녀 수에 따라 임대료를 지원하여 주거비를 절감하고 단지 내 24시 돌봄시설을 운영하는 등 저출생의 근본 원인을 해소하는데 총력을 기울이고 있다.
이재혁 사장은 “저출생은 인구감소와 더불어 지방의 미래를 위협하는 심각한 문제로 우리 모두가 함께 관심을 가지고 극복해야한다”고 말했다. 덧붙여 “우리 공사도 저출생과의 전쟁에 적극 동참하겠다”고 전했다.
