【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도개발공사(사장 이재혁)는 ‘6월 나눔 실천의 달’을 맞아 6월 20일 안동시 일직면과 예천군 예천읍 일대에서 지역사회 회복과 주거환경 개선을 위한 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

이번 봉사활동은 산불 피해로 어려움을 겪는 안동시 일직면 원리 마을 농가의 양파 수확 지원과 예천읍 노상리 지역 태양광 벽부등 설치 등 환경개선 활동으로 구성됐다. 무더운 날씨에도 공사 임직원들은 구슬땀을 흘리며 지역 주민들과 따뜻한 나눔을 실천했다.

특히 안동에서 진행된 농촌 일손돕기에는 경북농협이 주관하는 ‘한마음 농촌일손 집중 지원 날’ 행사와 연계하여, 공사 임직원뿐 아니라 경북농협, 지역 여성단체, 자원봉사자 등 총 150여 명이 참여해 부족한 농가 일손에 힘을 보탰다. 아울러 산불 피해 이재민 33가구에 생필품 지원도 함께 이루어졌다.

예천에서는 경상북도자원봉사센터와 협업하는 ‘2025 찾아라! 경북행복마을 62호’ 사업 일환으로 태양광 벽부등 설치 등 주거환경 개선 봉사가 진행되었으며, 주민과 자원봉사자들이 함께 힘을 모아 마을 공동체 유대 강화와 생활 여건 향상에 기여했다.

앞서 공사는 4월 16일 산불 피해 지역의 임시 대피소를 방문해 피해 주민들을 위로하고 간식 나눔 봉사를 진행한 바 있다.

이재혁 사장은 “이번 봉사활동이 산불 피해 주민들에게 실질적인 도움이 되길 바라며, 공사 임직원의 작은 노력이 빠른 일상 회복에 보탬이 되기를 희망한다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회에 대한 지속적인 관심과 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do Development Corporation (CEO Lee Jae-hyeok) conducted volunteer activities to help with community recovery and improve living environments in Iljik-myeon, Andong-si and Yecheon-eup, Yecheon-gun on June 20 to mark the ‘June Sharing Month.’

This volunteer activity consisted of environmental improvement activities such as supporting the harvest of onions in Wonri Village, Iljik-myeon, Andong-si, which is suffering from forest fire damage, and installing solar wall lamps in Nosang-ri, Yecheon-eup. Despite the hot weather, the Corporation employees worked hard and shared warmly with local residents.

In particular, the rural labor assistance event held in Andong was linked to the ‘One Heart Rural Labor Support Day’ event hosted by Gyeongbuk Agricultural Cooperative, and a total of 150 people including the Corporation employees, Gyeongbuk Agricultural Cooperative, local women’s groups, and volunteers participated to help out farmers who were lacking manpower. In addition, 33 households displaced by wildfires were also provided with daily necessities.

In Yecheon, as part of the ‘2025 Find! Gyeongbuk Happy Village No. 62’ project in collaboration with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Volunteer Center, a volunteer service was carried out to improve the living environment, including installing solar wall lights, and residents and volunteers worked together to strengthen the bonds between the village community and improve living conditions.

Previously, on April 16, the corporation visited temporary shelters in wildfire-stricken areas to comfort the affected residents and provide snacks.

President Lee Jae-hyeok said, “I hope this volunteer service will be of real help to the residents affected by the wildfires, and I hope that the small efforts of the corporation’s executives and employees will help them quickly recover from the daily lives,” and added, “We will continue to show continued interest and support for the local community.”
