매입임대주택 사업은 무주택 주거취약 계층과 청년, 신혼부부 등이 주변 시세보다 저렴한 임대료로(30~50% 수준) 거주할 수 있도록 다가구, 다세대 등의 건물을 경상북도개발공사가 매입 후 임대하는 사업이다.

경상북도개발공사에서 매입, 공급하는 매입임대주택은 보증금을 떼일 걱정 없이 안심하고 거주할 수 있는 공공임대주택으로서 무주택 주거취약 계층과 청년, 신혼부부 등에게는 희망이 될 수 있는 임대주택이기도 하다.

2023년 매입대상지는 포항․경주․경산․칠곡․의성으로 주변 인프라, 교통 등 임대수요가 높은 지역을 우선으로 매입할 예정이며, 매입대상 주택의 품질을 향상하기 위해 경상북도개발공사에서 직접 설계에 참여하고, 시공기준을 강화하며, 건축기간 중 5단계 품질점검을 시행하여 설계단계부터 품질 향상이 가능한 약정형 매입방식을 우선 추진할 계획이다.

이번 약정형 매입임대의 사업신청은 5월 31일까지 등기우편 접수 예정으로 신청방법, 설계 및 시공 가이드라인 등 자세한 사항은 경상북도개발공사 홈페이지에 게시된 공고문을 확인 후 신청해야 한다.

공사는 이번 약정형 매입방식을 시작으로 인구소멸지역 해당 지자체와 협력해 지방소멸기금을 활용한 새로운 주거정책 사업의 모범사례를 만들고자 한다.
