공사 측에 따르면, 이번 수상은 이재혁 사장이 2021년 3월 취임 이후 추진해 온 혁신경영과 지역사회 공헌 성과가 국가적으로 인정받은 결과다.

이 사장은 취임 직후 조직 체질 개선을 최우선 과제로 삼고 지속적인 혁신을 추진해왔다. 그 결과 ▲2023년 지방공기업 경영평가 전국 1위 ▲국민권익위원회 청렴도 1등급 ▲고객만족도 전국 1위 등 ‘3관왕’을 달성하며 지방공기업의 새로운 경영 모델을 제시했다는 평가를 받고 있다.
