특히, 한수원은 공공기관 최초로 정부의 예산지원 없이 자체 예산만으로 사업을 시행하여 제로에너지건축물 예비인증을 완료하고 본인증 승인까지 앞두고 있다.
한수원은 건물 분야 에너지소비 저감 및 온실가스 감축을 위해 2021년부터 그린리모델링 컨설팅을 시행, 이들 3곳을 시범사업 대상으로 선정했으며, 올해 초 두 곳을 준공한 데 이어 연말까지 시범사업을 마무리할 예정이다.
