에코프로는 12일 포항시 북구 흥해읍 죽천1리 마을에서 임직원 30 여명이 참석한 가운데 사랑의 연탄배달 봉사활동을 실시했다.

에코프로는 에너지 비용 급등으로 난방비 수급에 어려움을 겪고 있 는 지역 주민을 위해 지난 2021년부터 올해까지 234가구에 6000만 원 상당의 연탄과 난방유를 지원해오고 있다.

올해는 에코프로 포항캠퍼스 인근 주민 등 저소득 가정 80가구를 대상으로 연탄 12000장과 난방유 6400ℓ 등 2000만 원 상당의 연료 를 지원했다.

특히 지난해까지 물품 후원만 진행했으나 올해 처음으로 임직원 봉 사자가 참여해 대상 가구 중 일부에 연탄을 직접 배달하며 따뜻한 마 음을 전했다.

연탄배달 봉사에 참여한 임직원들은 줄지어 서서 연탄을 한 장 한 장 전달하며 구슬땀을 흘렸다.

에코프로 관계자는 “비록 작은 연탄 한 장이지만 이웃사랑을 위한 임직원들의 따뜻한 마음을 담아 소중히 전달했다”며 “앞으로도 나눔의 가치를 실천할 수 있도록 다양한 사회공헌활동을 발굴하기 위해 노력 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
