【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스(총장 류완하)와 (재)경상북도호국보훈재단(대표이사 한희원)이 5월 27일, 경주 동국대 백주년기념관 3층 교무위원회의실에서 상호협력 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 각자의 전문성과 자원을 활용하여 경상북도의 역사와 문화유산, 보훈문화 분야의 교육·체험 프로그램 개발 및 운영 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 강화하기로 했다.

협약 주요 내용에는 ▲경북 역사 및 문화유산 관련 교육체험 프로그램 공동 개발 및 운영 ▲보훈문화 관련 교육 프로그램의 연구 및 추진 ▲양 기관 간 인적·물적 자원 교류 확대 ▲시설물 공동 활용 등이 포함돼 있다.

경상북도호국보훈재단은 경북 지역의 순국선열과 애국지사의 나라사랑 정신을 계승하고 민족문화의 정체성 확립을 위해 설립된 기관으로, 경북 내 현충시설을 통합 관리하며 지역이 지닌 통일·독립·호국의 가치를 국민에게 효과적으로 알릴 수 있도록 다양한 보훈문화 사업을 추진해오고 있다.

이번 협약은 이러한 활동의 연장선으로, 향후 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스와 재단이 손잡고 경북의 정체성을 담은 K-호국보훈문화를 함께 발전시켜 나갈 것으로 기대를 모은다.
