대구 지역 정치권 한 관계자는 “(사전 투표율이 높거나 낫거나 별 의미가 없을지는 몰라도 호남 지역의 투표율이 부러운 것은 사실”이라고 고백했다. 그는 “사전투표가 마치 본투표를 하는 듯하다. 이러다간 본투표 투표율이 나올 것 같다”며 “높은 투표율을 보이는 것은 정책에 대한 관심의 척도다. 국정에 대한 관심도가 그만큼 높다는 것을 의미한다”고 거듭 강조했다.
