경북도는 최근 2년 연속 정부 재정분석 평가에서 종합 ‘가’등급 전국 1위를 기록했다. 지방교부세도 2021년 1조 3천925억 원에서 2025년 1조 9천860억 원(42.6% 증가)으로 확대됐다.

이 지사는 “세입·세출 구조를 전면 재정비하고 강도 높은 지출 구조조정을 통해 재정 체질을 근본 개선한 결과”라며 “과거 페널티 받던 구조를 인센티브 체계로 바꿨다”고 설명했다.
