경북과학대학교(총장 정은재)는 지난 26일 대학 중앙관 307호에서 ‘두피·모발 테라피스트 양성과정’ 수료식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 과정에는 경북 지역 뷰티 분야 종사자와 자영업자, 취·창업 희망자 등 26명이 참여해 전원 수료했으며, 이 가운데 19명은 ‘두피모발관리사’ 자격증을 취득하는 성과를 거뒀다.

참여자는 칠곡 지역을 비롯해 청도, 영천, 포항 등 경북 각지에서 모집돼 지역 미용산업 전문인력 양성이라는 교육 취지를 더욱 의미 있게 했다.

교육 과정은 지난 9월 26일 개강해 12월 27일까지 약 3개월간 총 120시간 동안 운영됐다. 두피·모발 분야 전문가 초청 특강과 피부과 전문의 강의를 비롯해 AI 기반 두피·모발 진단기 실습, 아로마 활용 실습, 두피·모발 화장품 제조, 고객 상담 커뮤니케이션, 맞춤형 관리 프로세스 설계 등 현장 실무 중심의 커리큘럼으로 구성됐다.

류혜원 경북과학대학교 라이즈사업단 팀장(상담복지과 교수)은 “지역민의 전문 역량을 실질적으로 높일 수 있는 현장 중심 직무교육을 지속적으로 운영해 지역 뷰티산업의 경쟁력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, RISE(Regional Innovation System of Education) 평생직업교육체계는 교육부가 추진하는 지역 기반 혁신사업으로, 경북과학대학교는 올해 미용·복지·헬스케어 분야를 중심으로 산업 수요에 맞춘 맞춤형 인재 양성에 주력하고 있다.

The RISE Lifelong Vocational Education System's Beauty Job Enhancement Program, aimed at strengthening sustainable job competencies, has achieved tangible results this year.

Kyungpook National University of Science and Technology (President Eun-jae Jeong) announced that it held a graduation ceremony for the "Scalp and Hair Therapist Training Program" on the 26th in Room 307 of the university's Central Building.

All 26 participants, including beauty professionals, self-employed individuals, and aspiring entrepreneurs from the Gyeongbuk region, completed the program. Nineteen of them earned the "Scalp and Hair Care Specialist" certification.

Participants were recruited from various regions of Gyeongbuk, including Chilgok, Cheongdo, Yeongcheon, and Pohang, further strengthening the program's mission of nurturing professionals in the local beauty industry.

The training program opened on September 26th and ran for approximately three months, lasting 120 hours until December 27th. The curriculum focused on practical training, including special lectures by scalp and hair experts and dermatologists, hands-on training using AI-based scalp and hair diagnostic tools, aromatherapy, scalp and hair cosmetics manufacturing, customer consultation communication, and customized management process design.

Ryu Hye-won, Team Leader of the RISE Project Team at Kyungpook National University (Professor, Department of Counseling and Welfare), stated, "We will continue to provide field-oriented job training that can substantially enhance the professional capabilities of local residents, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of the local beauty industry."

Meanwhile, the RISE (Regional Innovation System of Education) lifelong vocational education system is a regional innovation project promoted by the Ministry of Education. This year, Kyungpook National University is focusing on developing customized talent tailored to industry needs, focusing on the beauty, welfare, and healthcare sectors.
