【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 북구청은 벚꽃축제 기간 동안 이월드와 협력해 ‘떡볶이 페스티벌’ 팝업존을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

팝업존은 오는 21일부터 4월 5일까지 약 3주간 이월드 벚꽃축제 기간에 맞춰 운영된다. 이번 행사는 전국적인 벚꽃 명소로 자리 잡은 이월드를 찾는 방문객들에게 대구의 대표 축제인 떡볶이 페스티벌을 알리기 위해 마련됐다.

북구청은 민관 협업을 통해 축제 홍보 효과를 높이고 방문객들에게 새로운 즐길 거리를 제공한다는 계획이다.

팝업존에서는 떡볶이 페스티벌 주제 영상인 ‘한국인의 소울푸드 떡볶이, 축제가 되어 세계로 비상하다’를 시청한 뒤 간단한 시험을 치르면 점수에 따라 ‘뽀기’ 굿즈를 받을 수 있다. 특히 지난해 제5회 떡볶이 페스티벌 당시 큰 인기를 끌며 품절을 기록했던 ‘뽀기’ 굿즈의 리뉴얼 버전도 선보인다.

이와 함께 축제 캐릭터 ‘뽀기’를 활용한 포토존과 다양한 체험형 콘텐츠도 운영해 관광객들의 관심을 끌 것으로 기대된다.

배광식 북구청장은 “벚꽃 명소인 이월드와의 협업을 통해 더 많은 시민과 관광객에게 떡볶이 페스티벌을 알릴 수 있게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 지역 관광자원과 축제가 함께 시너지를 낼 수 있는 다양한 협력 프로그램을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 올해 떡볶이 페스티벌은 오는 10월 23일부터 25일까지 대구 iM뱅크 파크에서 개최될 예정이다.
