【브레이크뉴스 경북 상주】이성현 기자=환경부 산하 국립낙동강생물자원관(관장 서민환)은 농림축산식품부에서 주관하는 곤충유통사업지원사업과 농촌진흥청에서 주관하는곤충산업분야 신규 연구개발사업 공모에 선정됐다고 31일 밝혔다.

곤충유통사업지원사업에서 경상북도 등 6개 곤충산업관련 기관이협업하여 내년 2억 4천만 원의 사업비를 확보했다.

국립낙동강생물자원관은 미생물을 활용한 표준 먹이원 개발 연구를 진행하게 된다.

또한 농촌진흥청의 농업정책지원기술개발사업의 일환으로 곤충기술경쟁력 강화를 위한 공모사업에 선정되어 2021년부터 3년간 총 2억7천만 원 규모의 연구를 수행하게 됐다.

국립낙동강생물자원관은현장에 적용 가능한 곤충질병 종합방제 기술개발을 목표로 산업곤충 질병을 제어할 수 있는 미생물을 발굴할 계획이다.

정상철 국립낙동강생물자원관 미생물연구실장은 “공공기관과 지자체, 중앙정부기관 간 긴밀하게 협업하여 곤충산업 활성화에 기여하고 지속적으로 국민들이 체감 가능한 연구성과를 도출하겠다”라고 말했다.
