국립낙동강생물자원관(관장 서민환)은 농림식품기술기획평가원 주관 ‘유용농생명자원산업화기술개발사업’에 선정돼 5월부터 뇌(腦) 건강기능식품 소재개발 연구를 본격 추진한다고 7일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 광동제약㈜과㈜바이나리 기업과의 공동연구개발사업으로 21개월간총 5억2천5백만원의 연구개발비를 정부에서 수주 받아 ‘담수생물 소재 활용 뇌 건강 개별인정형 건강기능식품’을 목표로 소재에 대한기능성연구에 주력하게 된다.

뇌(腦) 관련 건강기능성식품은 노인·수험생 인지기능 개선 분야의 제품 개발로 연계 될 경우, 인구고령화 및 스트레스 높은 현대인들을 대상으로 높은 시장 잠재력을 가져 제품개발에 대한 기대가 높다.

이번 사업은 그 간 국립낙동강생물자원관에서 주관해온 ‘생물자원 산업화 연구회’ 참여 기업과 함께 달성한 성과라 더욱 빛난다.

국립낙동강생물자원관은 이번 성과를 바탕으로 연구회 회원사로 참여하고 있는 기업을대상으로 ‘수요자(기업) 맞춤형 필요기술지원’도 확대해 나갈 예정이다.  

최경민 국립낙동강생물자원관 산업화지원센터장은 “이번 성과를 계기로생물자원 산업화 연구회 기업들과 상호협력 체계를 더욱 확대하고,실질적인 상용화 제품개발 성과로 이어 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

The goal is to focus on functional research on materials.

If brain-related health functional foods are linked to the development of products in the field of cognitive function improvement for the elderly and examinees, expectation for product development is high as it has a high market potential for modern people with high stress and aging population.

This project is even more brilliant because it has been achieved with companies participating in the “Bio Resource Industrialization Research Group,” which has been hosted by the National Nakdong River Biological Resources Center.

Based on this achievement, the National Nakdong River Biological Resources Center is planning to expand'customer (company) customized necessary technology support' to companies participating as members of the research group.

Choi Kyung-min, head of the Industrialization Support Center of the National Nakdong River Biological Resources Center, said, "With this achievement, we will further expand the mutual cooperation system with the companies of the Institute for Biological Resources Industrialization and lead to practical commercial product development achievements."
