경상북도(도지사 이철우)와 (재)포항테크노파크(원장 이점식, 이하 포항TP)는 도내 원전해체 전략선도기업 발굴 및 육성을 위해 기술개발 및 사업화를 지원하는 ‘원전해체 기술개발 지원사업’에 참여할 기업을 모집한다고 4일 밝혔다.

세부 지원사업은 ▲기술사업화지원 ▲대․중소기업 동반성장 R&D 지원 ▲자유공모 프로그램 지원이며, 시제품 제작, 기술컨설팅, 특허, 시험분석, 공정개선 등 기업맞춤형으로 기술개발 및 상용화 과정을 지원할 예정이다.

총 지원규모는 3억 5천만원이며, 기술사업화 및 자유공모 지원의 경우 기업당 최대 5천만원, 대․중소기업 동반성장 R&D 지원의 경우 기업당 최대 1억원의 지원을 통해 실질적인 매출증대와 고용창출을 유도한다.

한편, 포항TP는 2020년부터 경상북도와 함께 원전해체 산업 전문기업 중점 육성을 위하여 ▲원전해체 기술개발 지원사업 ▲글로벌 원전해체 전문인력 양성사업 ▲원전해체 산업 협의회 운영사업 등 다양한 지원사업을 추진하였으며, 원전해체 산업에 진출하고자 하는 지역 유망기업들에게 해당 산업에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 제공해왔다.

특히, 원전해체 기술개발 지원사업을 통해 최근 2년간 도내 원전해체 관련 중소기업 24개사에 51개 분야 기술개발 및 사업화를 지원하여 신규고용 32명, 특허출원 15건, 계약실적 5건, 국비 약 13억원 수주 등의 괄목할만한 성과를 달성했다.
