제1회 DIMF의 시작부터 DIMF와 함께해온 자원활동가 ‘딤프지기’는 오랜 역사만큼 뜨거운 인기로 높은 경쟁률과 재지원율을 자랑하는 문화예술계 대표 자원봉사활동으로 매년 성공적인 축제를 만든 일등공신으로서의 역할을 했다.

특히 올해는 대학생부터 취준생, 작가, 예비 공무원 등 다양한 직업군과 서울, 경기, 광주 등 전국 곳곳은 물론 미국, 캐나다, 영국, 중국에 있는 유학생부터 한국에 유학중인 중국인까지 대구를 제외한 타지역 지원자의 지원율이 45.9% 달했다.

이 치열한 경쟁률을 뚫고 선발된 딤프지기 매니저 12명을 포함한 169명의 딤프지기들은 제16회 DIMF 기간동안 딤프지기 매니저, 공연장 운영, 부대∙연계행사, 통역, 홍보 총 5개분야에서 눈부신 활약을 펼쳤다.

3년만의 해외작품 초청으로 통역 딤프지기의 활약도 두드러졌다. 이들은 슬로바키아 및 영국 공연팀과 DIMF를 찾은 해외 인사들의 의전통역을 도맡아하며 글로벌 비즈니스를 가능하게 했다.

우수 딤프지기에는 공연장 운영 분야의 김영자, 자막운영으로 관람에 대한 질 높은 서비스를 제공했던 김나영, 영상 촬영&제작, 카드뉴스 제작 등 다양한 콘텐츠 제작 홍보 분야의 남재인, 축제기간 외국 내빈 의전 통역에 큰 기여를 한 통역 분야의 이서현을 포함한 공연장 안팎에서 활약한 10명이 선정됐다.
