국회협력관은 지역 관련 법률 입안과 예산안 편성 및 집행에 관한 자문 등 입법부와 자치단체 간 협력을 지원하기 위해 지난 2011년부터 국회에서 대구시청에 파견되어 근무하고 있다.

예 신임 국회협력관은 대구고등학교와 서울대 언론정보학과를 졸업하고 2007년 입법고시에 합격해 국회사무처에 임용된 대구 출신의 인재로 그동안 예산분석실 예산분석관, 기획재정위원회 입법조사관, 의사국 의안과장, 외교통신위원회 입법조사관 등을 역임했다.

예승우 국회협력관은 “대구경북 통합신공항 건설 등 대구 미래 발전을 위한 중대한 현안 사업에 국회와 중앙정부 차원의 관심과 지원이 이루어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
