【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구시는 대영전자 계열 5개 사 본사 동반이전 및 통합연구소 구축 투자협약을 체결했다고 11일 밝혔다.

대영전자는 2024년까지 총 200억원을 투자해 수성알파시티 부지 2,075㎡에 8층 규모의 통합연구소를 건립하고 R&D 중심의 고급일자리 58명을 신규 고용할 계획이다.

내년 하반기 착공에 들어가 2024년 10월 완공후 12월까지 본사 및 연구소 이전을 마무리하고, 2025년까지 채용을 완료하면 R&D인력만 100명으로 총 146명(신규 68명, 이전 78명)의 인력이 근무하게 된다.

현재 경북에 소재한 대영전자, 대영전기 본사와 수도권 등에 소재한 연구개발 전문기업 3사를 수성알파시티로 통합하면서 대구를 거점으로 전기차·드론·가전 분야의 신성장동력 발굴 및 미래 선제기술 확보를 위한 첨단 R&D 허브로 구축한다는 구상이다.

경기도에 소재한 대영알앤디와 대영이피는 전기차용 모터·인버터와 전장부품(트랜스) 등을 각각 연구개발하고 있으며, 대영드론솔루션은 대전 대덕연구단지에서 드론을 활용한 빅데이터 서비스 플랫폼사업을 영위하고 있는 ABB 기반 기업이다.
