영주시는 지난 19일 도청에서 열린 경북 농식품 우수시군 평가 시상식에서 농산물 직거래 분야 ‘최우수상’과 농식품 수출정책 분야 ‘우수상’을 각각 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 경상북도가 23개 시군을 대상으로 농산물 직거래 분야에서 농산물 온‧오프라인 판매 실적, 농특산물 판로확대 관련 특수시책 등을 평가하고, 농식품 수출정책 분야에서는 수출액, 증감률, 수출정책 등을 대상으로 평가했다.

영주시는 농산물 직거래 분야에서 10월 기준 온라인 매출 약 47억 원, 오프라인 매출 약 57억 원으로 합계 104억 원의 판매 실적을 기록하고, 대도시 대형마트에 농산물 직매장인 ‘The 영주’를 설치하는 등 판매 실적과 판로 확대 성과를 인정받았다.

또한 시는 2021년 기준 농식품 수출실적 1억6249만 달러를 기록해 경북도내 시군 1위의 성과를 거뒀다. 이와 더불어 해외 박람회, 전시회 참가 지원 및 바이어 초청 수출 상담회 등 관내 중소 수출기업의 해외 시장개척 노력을 인정받아 농식품 수출정책 분야에서 우수상과 함께 상사업비 1000만원을 받았다.
