【브레이크뉴스 경북】박은정 기자=경산시(시장 조현일)는 산업통상자원부가 주최하는 ′xEV 보호차체 얼라이언스 기업지원 플랫폼 구축 사업'공모에 최종 선정됐다고 17일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 전기차 보호차체 전환 자동차 부품기업 확대 및 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 시행됐다.
사업비는 오는 2027년까지 5년간 국비 96억원, 지방비 126억원을 투입하여 경산지식산업지구 내 유휴부지를 활용해 전기차 보호차체 충돌 모사 시험 및 전기차 화재·폭발로부터 안전사고에 대비한 방폭시설 구축 등을 중점적으로 추진한다.
또 기업지원 인프라 구축을 통해 전주기 지원 체계를 마련한 전기차 전용 플랫폼을 구축할 예정이다.
경산시는 이번 사업이 산업통상자원부의 지정과제로 선정되어 사업공모에서 선정에 이르기까지 경상북도와 함께 윤두현 국회의원을 필두로 사업의 필요성과 지역적 특성을 고려한 선정 가능성을 예측하고, 지난해부터 수차례 조사·분석 등 긴밀히 대응해왔고, 이에 최종 선정되는 쾌거를 안았다.
특히 지역 부품업체가 공동으로 활용할 수 있는 충돌 안전시험평가장비를 구축하고 설계, 해석 지원, 시제품 제작, 시험 등 전주기 사업화 지원을 통하여 지역 중소부품업체의 기술개발 역량 제고와 미래차 산업 중심지로 구조 혁신을 가속화할 수 있도록 개선할 계획이다.
조현일 경산시장은 "xEV 보호차체 얼라이언스 기업지원 기반 구축사업은 미래차 산업의 기반을 다지고 지역 자동차부품생산 기업의 글로벌 경쟁력 확보뿐만 아니라 다양한 일자리를 창출하는 사업이 될 것”이라며, “지역 주축산업의 기업 간 협력 생태계 조성과 기술자립화를 추진하여 경산을 대한민국 미래차 산업의 중심지로 만들어 나아가겠다”고 밝혔다.
