지난 10일 서울 여의도 켄싱턴호텔에서 ‘제7회 대한민국을 빛낸 13인 대상’ 시상식이 개최됐다.
(재)국제언론인클럽, SCF CHANNEL KOREA가 주최하고 대한민국을 빛낸 13인 대상 조직위원회가 선정하는 이 상은 국내외 정치, 경제, 자치행정, 문화예술, 스포츠 등 사회 각계각층에서 대한민국의 위상과 국격을 높이는데 기여한 인물에게 수여된다.
최건 의원은 지역 발전을 위해 헌신적으로 노력한 공로로 지자체부문 지역발전공헌 대상을 받았다.
그는 지역 발전을 위해 지속 가능한 도시 관리와 효율적인 정책 집행에 중점을 두고, 5분 자유발언 및 조례 제정 공동발의 등 살기 좋은 도시를 위한 다양한 정책을 추진해왔다.
최건 의원은 “이번 수상은 저 혼자 이룬 것이 아니라, 동구 주민들과 함께 만들어낸 성과”라며 “앞으로도 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 정책을 추진해, 대구 동구의 지속 가능한 발전에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
