【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용)는 지난 28일 대만 국립자이대학교(Han Chien Lin 총장) 방문단을 맞아 양교 간 교육 및 연구 교류를 위한 뜻깊은 만남을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 만남은 지난해 11월 양 대학이 체결한 ‘특수교육 및 사회복지 연구개발 중심 상호교류협약’의 후속 조치로 마련됐다. 지난해 대구사이버대학교가 대만을 방문한 데 이어, 이번에는 자이대학교 측이 한국을 찾아 상호 교류를 이어갔다.

방문단은 Ya-Ping Wu 특수교육과 학과장, Kai-Ju Huang 교수와 학생 10여 명으로 구성됐으며, 대구대학교 특수교육기념관과 K-PACE 센터 등 특수교육 관련 주요 시설을 둘러보며 대한민국 특수교육의 역사와 실천 현장을 직접 체험했다.

이후 대구사이버대학교를 방문해 온라인 콘텐츠 제작 스튜디오, AR·VR 기반 교육 콘텐츠 개발 시스템을 견학하며 첨단 원격교육의 제작 과정을 심층적으로 이해하는 시간을 가졌다.

Ya-Ping Wu 학과장은 "대구사이버대학교와 대구대학교의 교육 현장을 직접 체험하며 한국 특수교육의 철학과 깊이를 이해할 수 있었다"며, "두 대학이 지닌 숭고한 건학정신과 혁신적 교육 시스템에 깊은 인상을 받았다. 향후 실질적인 학생 교류를 통해 양교의 협력이 더욱 강화되길 기대한다"고 소감을 밝혔다.

이에 대해 이근용 총장은 “학술 및 산학협력 가치를 중시하는 자이대학교의 이번 방문이 양교의 국제 교류 확대를 위한 중요한 계기가 되길 바란다”며, “특히 특수교육과 재활과학 분야에서의 연구 협력과 학생 교류를 통해 글로벌 인재 양성에 함께 힘쓰겠다”고 강조했다.
