대구사이버대는 지난 5월 19일 본관 C.I.R 회의실에서 가온사회적협동조합과 상호교류협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 장애인 지원을 위한 실질적 협력체계를 구축하고, 다양한 공동 사업을 추진해 나갈 예정이다.

이날 협약식에는 대구사이버대학교 전종국 특임부총장, 김한양 기획처장, 박상희 교무처장, 도진우 사무처장, 사회복지학과 원서진 교수(학과장), 채현탁 교수 등이 참석했으며, 가온사회적협동조합에서는 김기택 이사장, 김선영 센터장, 김미례 대리가 함께했다.

양 기관은 ▲공동 프로그램 개발 ▲산학 협약 장학금 지급 ▲장애인 사이버 평생학습 플랫폼 홍보 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 강화하기로 뜻을 모았다.

이번 협약을 주도한 채현탁 사회복지학과 교수는 “이번 협약이 단순한 형식적 체결을 넘어 장애인의 실질적 삶의 변화를 이끌어낼 수 있는 구체적인 실천의 출발점이 되기를 바란다”며 “양 기관의 협력을 통해 실효성 있는 프로그램을 함께 만들어 갈 수 있을 것”이라고 밝혔다.

가온사회적협동조합은 장애인과 그 가족의 자립을 위한 활동지원사업 및 다양한 복지 서비스를 통해 지역사회 기여에 앞장서온 기관이다.

전종국 특임부총장은 “이번 협약은 교육과 복지를 아우르는 협력 모델의 좋은 사례”라며 “대구사이버대학교의 전문성과 온라인 교육 인프라를 바탕으로 장애인의 자립과 권익 향상에 실질적으로 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

양 기관은 이번 협약을 계기로 지속 가능한 협력관계를 이어가며, 지역사회의 포용성 증진과 사회적 가치 실현에 앞장설 계획이다.
