【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용) 행동치료학과(학과장 조정연)는 한국긍정적행동지원협회(회장 백은희)가 주최한 ‘제5차 아시아·태평양 긍정적행동지원(PBS) 국제학술대회(5th Asia-Pacific International PBS Conference)’에 참여해 학과의 연구성과를 공유하고 국제 학문 교류의 장을 넓혔다.

이번 학술대회는 지난 10월 22일부터 25일까지 4일간 국립특수교육원과 이화여자대학교에서 열렸다. 대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과 조정연 교수가 조직위원장으로서 전체 학술대회를 총괄 운영하며 행사의 성공적인 개최를 이끌었다.

개회식에서는 조정연 교수의 인사말을 시작으로 미국 미네소타대학교의 Rachel Freeman 박사, 캐나다 CBI 컨설턴츠의 Paul Malette 박사가 기조강연을 맡았다. 이어 호주 모나쉬대학교 Erin Leif 박사, 국립공주대학교 백은희 교수 등 국내외 전문가들이 참여해 각국의 긍정적행동지원(PBS, Positive Behavior Support) 연구 현황과 다양한 실천 사례를 공유했다.

대구사이버대학교에서는 강영모 교수가 포스터 발표 및 구두 발표를 통해 학과의 연구역량을 선보였으며, 행동치료학과 재학생과 졸업생들도 한국긍정적행동지원협회 간사 및 현장 자원봉사자로 참여해 학문적 교류의 폭을 넓혔다.

조정연 교수는 “이번 국제학술대회는 각국의 특수교육과 긍정적행동지원 사례를 직접 접하며 폭넓은 시각을 얻을 수 있었던 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “무엇보다 학생들이 자발적으로 참여해 봉사와 학술활동을 함께한 모습이 인상 깊었다”고 말했다.

강영모 교수는 “앞으로도 재학생과 졸업생들이 다양한 학술대회에 적극 참여해 함께 성장해 나가길 기대한다”며 “대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과가 행동분석 분야에서 깊이 있는 전문성을 갖추고 지속적으로 영향력을 발휘할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

행사에 간사로 참여한 졸업생 이소연 씨는 “교수님들과 함께 학술대회 현장에서 활동하며 PBS 분야의 최신 연구 동향을 직접 접할 수 있었다”며 “국제적 학문 교류의 중요성을 체감한 뜻깊은 경험이었다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

The Department of Behavior Therapy (Dept. Cho Jeong-yeon) of Daegu Cyber ​​University (President Lee Keun-yong) participated in the 5th Asia-Pacific International PBS Conference, hosted by the Korea Positive Behavior Support Association (President Baek Eun-hee), sharing the department's research results and expanding opportunities for international academic exchange.
