【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구가 불로동 불로천 둔치에 생활밀착형 숲(실외정원) 조성사업을 마무리했다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 산림청의 공모사업에 선정되어 국비와 시비 등 총 5억 원이 투입됐다. 

동구청은 산수유, 산딸나무, 팥꽃나무, 노루오줌, 수크령 등 다양한 자생식물과 함께 블루아이스 등 19종의 교목 258주, 꽝꽝나무 등 33종의 관목 4,644주, 가우라 등 53종의 초화류 2만3,770본을 식재했다고 밝혔다. 

또 파고라, 의자, 목재데크 등 주민들이 쉴 수 있는 휴게·편의시설도 설치했다.

동구청은 “이번 조성으로 열섬 현상 완화와 탄소중립 실천, 생활환경 개선 효과는 물론, 탄소흡수원 확대와 생태계 건강성 증진 등 다양한 성과가 기대된다”고 설명했다.

This project, selected through a public contest by the Korea Forest Service, received a total of 500 million won in national and municipal funds.

The Dong-gu District Office announced that it planted a variety of native plants, including cornelian cherry, wild dogwood, red bean, Japanese quince, and sukryong, along with 258 trees of 19 species, including blue ice, 4,644 shrubs of 33 species, including Chinese quince, and 23,770 flowering plants of 53 species, including gaura.

Pergolas, chairs, and wooden decks were also installed for residents to relax and enjoy.

The Dong-gu District Office explained, "This development is expected to have various benefits, including mitigating the heat island effect, achieving carbon neutrality, improving the living environment, expanding carbon sinks, and enhancing ecosystem health."
