그러면서 “지금 회복 중이다. 이번 연말까지 최대한 건강을 열심히 끌어올려 구민들의 걱정을 덜도록 하겠다”고 입장을 표명했다. 또한 앞서 개인정보라는 이유로 비공개에 부쳤던 ‘연가 및 병가, 출근현황’에 대해 “최대한 소명하겠다”고 전했다.

연가 및 병가를 적법하게 썼다 하더라도 공적 업무에는 차질이 전혀 없었다고 생각하는지 묻는 기자의 질문에 “차질이 전혀 없었다고 할 순 없지만 외부행사를 몇 번 참석하지 못했고 내부 행사는 다 참석을 했다”며 “확대 간부회의에 1번, 의회 본회의에 2번 정도 불참했다”고 전했다.
