【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국가등록문화재로 지정된 반야월역사 작은도서관이 리모델링을 마치고 24일 재개관했다.

이번 리모델링은 'KB후원 작은도서관 조성사업'의 일환으로 KB국민은행의 지원과 (사)작은도서관만드는사람들의 협력 아래 진행됐다. 

총 사업비 1억5천만 원이 투입됐으며, 공사는 2023년 11월에 시작해 올해 3월 마무리됐다.

도서관 내부는 가구와 바닥 교체, 벽면 보수 등 전면적인 환경 개선이 이루어졌다. 

이용자들은 더 안전하고 편리하게 도서관을 이용할 수 있게 됐으며, 쾌적한 독서와 문화 활동 공간이 조성됐다는 평가다.

2011년 첫 문을 연 반야월역사 작은도서관은 그동안 지역 독서문화의 중심 역할을 해왔다. 

이번 리모델링을 계기로 도서관은 역사적 가치를 보존하면서도 현대적 시설을 갖춘 복합 문화공간으로 한 걸음 더 나아가게 됐다.

김태운 동구청장 권한대행은 "역사적인 이 공간이 앞으로도 주민들에게 더 큰 사랑을 받는 문화 거점이 되기를 바란다"고 말했다.

The Banyawol History Small Library, designated as a National Registered Cultural Heritage, reopened on the 24th after completing its remodeling.

This remodeling was carried out as part of the "KB-Sponsored Small Library Creation Project," with support from KB Kookmin Bank and cooperation from the non-profit organization "People Who Make Small Libraries."

A total of 150 million won was invested in the project, which began in November 2023 and concluded in March of this year.

The library's interior underwent comprehensive environmental improvements, including the replacement of furniture and flooring, and wall repairs.

Users can now utilize the library more safely and conveniently, and the project is being praised for creating a pleasant space for reading and cultural activities.

The Banyawol History Small Library, which first opened its doors in 2011, has played a central role in the local reading culture.

With this remodeling, the library has taken a step forward as a complex cultural space equipped with modern facilities while preserving its historical value. Kim Tae-woon, Acting Head of Dong-gu District Office, said, "I hope this historic space will continue to become a cultural hub that is loved even more by residents in the future."
