【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=(재)경북테크노파크(원장 하인성)는 25일 ‘2025 규제자유특구 운영성과평가’에서 스마트그린물류 규제자유특구(물류특구)와 전기차 차세대 무선충전 규제자유특구(무선특구)가 최고 등급인 ‘우수특구’로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

올해 전국 17개 시·도에서 운영 중인 28개 특구 중 우수특구로 평가받은 곳은 단 4곳이며, 경북은 두 특구가 동시에 선정된 유일한 지역이다. 두 특구 모두 경북테크노파크가 총괄·주관을 맡아 특구 운영과 지원체계의 우수성을 입증했다.

물류특구는 지난해 전국 최초로 주차장 기반 생활물류복합센터를 준공해 친환경 도심 배송 거점을 마련했다. 이후 화물 전기자전거 통합배송 실증 안전성 검증과 국내 최초 안전기준 마련을 완료했으며, 올해 9월 임시허가를 통해 상용화 추진을 본격화했다. 

특구 기업인 에코브㈜는 경북테크노파크 지원으로 2024년 독일 라이틀(Rytle)사와 700억 원 규모 유럽 수출 계약을 체결하고, 2025년 11월에는 미국 호네타스(Honestas)사와 북미 합작법인 설립 및 1억 달러 규모 공급 MOA를 추진하는 등 글로벌 시장 진출을 확대하고 있다.

무선충전특구는 전기차 무선충전 기술 상용화를 위한 규제 개선과 주유시설 내 고출력 무선충전 실증 성공 등에서 우수 평가를 받았다. 2022년 9월 제7차 규제자유특구로 지정된 무선특구는 주유소 내 전기차 무선충전, 유선충전기 연계 무선충전 등 실증을 수행하며 60여 건의 성능·안전 검증 시험으로 공인 인증체계를 구축했다. 국내 최초로 주유소 내 전기차 무선충전 설비 설치 특례를 도입하고, 관련 법령·규정 개정을 통해 무선충전 상용화를 앞당겼다.

하인성 경북테크노파크 원장은 “두 특구의 우수특구 선정은 경북도와 김천시, 경산시가 함께 추진한 규제혁신과 기업 지원의 결실”이라며 “앞으로도 특구 기업들의 기술이 사업화와 국내외 시장 진출로 이어지도록 지원을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

이번 성과로 경북은 국내 규제자유특구 운영에서 선도적 역할을 입증함과 동시에, 지역 기업의 글로벌 시장 진출과 기술 상용화에 속도를 낼 것으로 기대된다.

Gyeongbuk Technopark, Smart Green Logistics and Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging Special Zones Simultaneously Awarded "Excellent Special Zones"

Gyeongbuk Technopark (Director Ha In-seong) announced on the 25th that its Smart Green Logistics Regulatory-Free Special Zone (Logistics Special Zone) and its Next-Generation Wireless Charging Special Zone (Wireless Special Zone) were both awarded the highest rating of "Excellent Special Zones" in the "2025 Regulatory-Free Special Zone Operation Performance Evaluation."

Of the 28 special zones operating in 17 cities and provinces nationwide this year, only four were recognized as excellent, and Gyeongbuk is the only region to receive both awards simultaneously. Gyeongbuk Technopark oversaw both special zones, demonstrating the excellence of its operations and support systems.

Last year, the logistics special zone completed construction of the nation's first parking-based living logistics complex, establishing an eco-friendly urban delivery hub. Since then, the company has completed safety verification of integrated cargo electric bicycle delivery and established the first domestic safety standards. Commercialization began in earnest with provisional approval in September of this year.

Ecob Co., Ltd., a company in the special zone, is expanding its global presence. With support from the Gyeongbuk Technopark, it signed a KRW 70 billion export contract with Germany's Rytle in 2024 for European markets. In November 2025, it established a North American joint venture with the US company Honestas and signed a USD 100 million MOA for supply.

The Wireless Charging Special Zone has received excellent evaluations for its regulatory improvements for the commercialization of electric vehicle wireless charging technology and its successful demonstration of high-power wireless charging at gas stations. Designated as the 7th Regulatory-Free Special Zone in September 2022, the Wireless Special Zone has conducted demonstrations, including wireless charging for electric vehicles at gas stations and wireless charging connected to wired chargers. It has established an official certification system through approximately 60 performance and safety verification tests. For the first time in Korea, Gyeongbuk Technopark introduced special provisions for the installation of wireless charging facilities for electric vehicles at gas stations and accelerated the commercialization of wireless charging by revising related laws and regulations.

Gyeongbuk Technopark Director Ha In-seong stated, "The selection of these two special zones as excellent special zones is the fruit of the joint regulatory innovation and corporate support efforts of Gyeongbuk Province, Gimcheon City, and Gyeongsan City." He added, "We will continue to strengthen our support to ensure that the technologies of these special zone companies lead to commercialization and entry into domestic and international markets."

With this achievement, Gyeongbuk has proven its leading role in operating domestic regulation-free special zones and is expected to accelerate the global market entry and technology commercialization of local companies.
