이번 사업은 청도군을 방문하는 관외 관광객을 대상으로 사전 예약제로 운영되며, 예산 범위 내에서 연중 이용할 수 있다. 택시 이용요금의 50%는 청도군이 지원해 관광객의 교통비 부담을 줄일 계획이다.

관광택시는 청도의 주요 관광지를 연결하는 지정 코스와 관광객이 자유롭게 일정을 구성할 수 있는 자율 코스로 나뉘어 운영된다. 지정 코스는 산서 1·2·3코스와 산동 코스로 구성됐으며, 자율 코스는 관광지 1곳 이상 방문하고 2시간 이상 이용할 경우 선택할 수 있어 여행 동선의 자율성을 높였다.
