【브레이크뉴스 청도】이성현 기자=청도군(군수 김하수) 금천면이 지역 주민 소통과 화합을 위한 ‘제2회 슐런대회’ 개최를 앞두고 본격적인 준비에 들어갔다.

금천면은 25일 오후 면사무소 회의실에서 금천면 지역사회보장협의체를 비롯해 이장협의회, 금천면노인분회, 새마을 3단체 임원 등 주요 단체 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 대회 준비회의를 열고 세부 운영 방안을 논의했다.

이날 회의에서는 ▲참가자 선발 과정 ▲경기 진행 방식 ▲행사장 배치 ▲안전관리 대책 ▲시상 계획 등 행사 전반에 대한 구체적인 사항을 점검했다. 참석자들은 주민들이 안전하고 즐겁게 참여할 수 있도록 체계적인 운영이 필요하다는 데 공감했다.

특히 이번 대회를 단순한 체육행사가 아닌 면민이 함께 어우러지는 ‘축제의 장’으로 만들자는 데 뜻을 모으며, 지역 공동체 결속을 강화하는 계기로 삼기로 했다.

김수용 금천면장은 “슐런은 남녀노소 누구나 쉽게 배우고 즐길 수 있는 생활체육 종목”이라며 “이번 대회를 통해 주민들이 즐겁게 경쟁하고 화합하는 계기가 되길 바라며, 금천면만의 특화사업으로 자리매김해 차별화된 지역 축제로 발전시키겠다”고 말했다.

한편 금천면 지역사회보장협의체가 주관하는 슐런대회는 올해로 2회째를 맞는다. 오는 3월 27일 금천면 게이트볼장에서 열릴 예정이며, 금천면 주민이면 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 상반기 최대 행사로 지역사회 공동체 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
