농수산위원회는 이날 회의에서“지난 3차에 걸쳐 지급된 코로나19 재난지원금 지급에서 농어업 분야는 배제된데 이어, 국회에 제출된 정부의 4차 맞춤형 피해지원 대책을 위한 추경안에도 농어업·농어민에 대한 지원을 찾아볼 수 없는 상황”이라며 “4차 재난지원금에서 마저 농어민을 누락한 것은 정부가 농어민을 무시하고 농어업 정책을 포기한 것이나 다름없다. 더 이상 농민 홀대 좌시하지 않겠다”고 한 목소리를 냈다.

남진복 위원장(울릉군)은“코로나19로 인해 제조업, 서비스업 등 2, 3차 산업뿐만 아니라 농어업분야도 농산물 판로 및 유통, 체험농업, 현장 일손부족 등 많은 피해를 입었다.”고 강조하고 “농수산위원회는 지난해 농어민수당 조례를 발의에 이어 농어민의 공익적 가치를 인정해주지 않고 홀대하는 정책에 대해서는 더 이상 침묵하지 않고 대응해 나갈 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

이번 건의안이 오는 16일 경상북도의회 제322회 임시회 본회의에서 통과되면 정부와 국회 등 관련기관에 송부되어 4차 재난지원금의 문제점을 알림과 동시에 지원촉구 계기가 될 것으로 전망된다
