배수계통과 전원계통 다중화에 따라 중저준위 방폐장 1단계 동굴처분시설은 기존과 동일한 용량(1일 4,905톤) 배수계통이 추가 설치됐다.

추가 설치된 지하수 배수계통은 한전에서 공급하는 소외 전원 외에 내진기능을 갖춘 디젤발전기(500kW), 전기설비, 고양정 배수펌프 4대, 수중펌프 2대 등을 갖추고 있다.
