국민의힘 동구청장 예비경선에서 컷오프된 현 배기철 동구청장이 경쟁자였던 우성진 예비후보를 지지한다는 보도와 관련, 경선 대상자에 포함되고도 참여하지 않고 불참을 선언한 차수환 동구의회 의장의 거취에 관심에 쏠리고 있다.

차 의장은 30일 본지와의 통화에서 “의장으로서의 마무리에 전념을 다하겠다”고 밝히고는 “이번 선거판에는 더이상 관심 없다”고 말했다.
