10일 경찰 등에 따르면 전날 임시 검안 결과 건물 203호에서 근무하던 A변호사와 사무장인 남성 B씨 등 2명에게 자상으로 보이는 상처가 확인된 것으로 알려졌다.

국립과학수사연구원과 경찰 등은 이날 오전 11시부터 사건 발생 현장에서 정밀 감식을 실시하고 있다. 9일 벌인 감식에서 자상을 발견한 경찰은 방화와 관련된 잔류물을 일부 수거해 감정을 의뢰한 상태다.

경찰은 "현장에서 범행에 쓰인 것으로 추정되는 흉기가 발견됐다"며 "추가 부검을 통해 자상이 직접적인 사인인지 여부 등을 판단할 예정"이라고 말했다.

한편, 이석화 대구지방변호사회 회장은 이날 경북대 장례식장을 찾아 “대구지방변호사회는 현재 장례위원회를 꾸려 공동 장례식을 준비 중이다."며 "부검을 마친 뒤 오후 5시쯤 경북대병원 장례식장 104호에 합동분향소를 설치할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

이어 “피해자 보상에 대하여도 각 기관과 협의중”이라고 밝힌 이 회장은 “범죄피해자구제 제도를 이용할 수 있도록 검찰에 협조를 구할 것이며 또 대구시가 시민들을 위해 가입해놓은 시민안전보험이 지원될 수 있도록 협의할 예정”이라고 말했다.

그러면서 “피해 보상이 충분하지 않을 경우를 대비해 전국지방변호사회와 대한변호사협회에서 모금을 진행할 계획이다. 대구변호사협회 소속 변호사와 직원들은 일주일간 근조 기간을 두고 리본을 착용하기로 했다”고 덧붙였다.

실제 대구시에서는 시민안전보험을 통해 2천만원씩의 보상금을 지급할 예정으로 알려졌으며, 수성구청은 합동 영결식장 등 장례와 관련해 지원책을 준비중으로 알려졌다.
