【브레이크뉴스 김천】이성현 기자=김천시 오는 11일부터 20일까지 기간 중 6일간 한국유소년탁구연맹 주최, 김천시탁구협회 주관으로 ‘2022 김천오픈 유소년 탁구선수권대회’를 개최한다고 9일 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 선수와 임원 등 500여 명이 참가한 가운데 김천종합스포츠타운 배드민턴경기장에서 개인단식 조별리그 후 토너먼트(U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U16, U19)로 치러진다.

김충섭 김천시장은 “2022 김천오픈 유소년 탁구선수권대회를 스포츠 중심도시 김천시에서 개최하게 되어 기쁘게 생각한다. 대한민국 탁구 유망주들이 김천에서 모두 모여 각자의 기량발전과 개인의 명예를 위해 최선을 다할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”라고 했다.

한편 김천시는 공격적인 스포츠마케팅을 통해 지역경제에 큰 활력을 불어 넣고 있다.
