24일 성주군은 2022년보다 680억원 증액된 6,210억원의 2023년 예산안을 편성하고 군의회에 제출했다고 밝혔다.

이번 예산안은 지역경기 활성화와 복지안전망 구축, 지역맞춤형 신성장 동력확보 등 군민의 삶의 질 향상에 중점을 두고 편성했다.

예산 총 규모를 살펴보면 올해대비 680억원(12.3%) 증액된 6,210억원으로 일반회계 5,460억, 특별회계 307억원 및 기금443억원을 편성했다.

이는 국도비보조금이 1,841억원으로 올해 대비 128억원(7.5%) 증가, 지방교부세가 2,529억원으로 232억원(10.1%) 증가하는 등 열악한 지방재정 확충을 위해 이병환 군수를 비롯한공직자와 군 의회가 다함께힘을 합해국회, 중앙부처 및 경북도를수시로 방문하여 이전재원 확보에총력을 기울인 결과이다.

또한, 남부 내륙철도 건설, 선남~다사 간 국도 6차로 확장사업, 성주~고령 간 국지도 개량사업 등 대규모 국가직접 투자사업과 함께 특별교부세, 특별조정교부금의 추가 확보에도 심혈을 기울이고 있어 성주군에 투입되는 예산은 사상 최대를 기록할 것으로 예상된다.

주요사업으로는 심산문화 테마파크 조성사업 50억원, 농어민수당지원 53억원,  농촌돌봄마을 시범단지 조성사업 85억원, 성주산업단지혁신지원센터 구축사업 39억원, 도시재생 뉴딜2단계 사업 34억원, 성주읍행정복지센터 신축사업 30억원, 별의별 지하공영주차장 조성사업 20억원, 재해위험 개선지구 정비사업(동암․성원,동락,관화,명포,윤동사창) 69억원, 초전면 대장 풍수해생활권 종합정비사업 34억원, 농기계 테스트베드 구축 47억원, 급수구역확장사업(초전,수륜,가천) 38억원, 공공하수처리시설 증설사업(성주,대장,원정) 98억원, 선남 반다비 문화체육센터 건립 82억원, 낙동강변 파크골프장 조성사업 35억원, 생활폐기물 소각시설 증설사업 53억원 등으로 군 의회의 심의를 거쳐 오는 12월 7일 확정된다.

이병환 성주군수는 지난 22일 시정연설을 통해 “다가올 2023년은 비도진세(備跳進世)의 자세로 도약과 혁신, 군민의 염원을 담아 경북도를 넘어 전국적으로도 별처럼 빛나는 성주군을 만들기 위해 힘차게 나아갈 것“이라고 각오를 밝혔다.
