지난 19일 오전 경주 다문화가정공동체 회원들을 초대해 간담회와 함께 경주엑스포대공원 연간 회원권 전달 행사를 가졌다.

류희림 경주엑스포대공원 대표는 상설화 이후 공원의 달라진 모습들을 설명하며, 가족들과 공원을 자주 방문해 즐거운 시간도 보내고, 고향에도 경주엑스포 홍보를 많이 해달라고 당부했다.

이날 행사에 초대 된 회원들은 각국의 전통의상을 입었으며, 서로의 설 문화에 대해 이야기를 나누기도 했다. 간담회를 마친 회원들은 공원을 둘러보며 즐거운 시간을 가졌다.

연간회원권을 전달 받은 회원들은 “정을 나누고 마음을 나누어 주신 경주엑스포에 감사드리며, SNS 등을 통해 주변지인들과 고향에 경주엑스포 홍보를 많이 하겠다”고 말했다.

이번 행사는 명절인 설을 맞아 고향이 그리운 결혼이주여성들을 위로하고, 문화관광 취약계층인 다문화가정이 언제든 경주엑스포대공원 방문해 한국의 역사와 문화를 체험할 수 있도록 하기 위해 마련됐으며 참석하지 못한 회원 스무 가족들에게도 연간회원권을 전달했다.

류희림 경주엑스포대공원 대표는 “설은 새로운 한 해를 맞이하는 첫 날로 우리 민족 최대의 명절입니다. 우리 사회의 새로운 구성원으로 함께하는 결혼이주여성들에게 한국의 명절 문화도 알리고 따뜻한 정을 나누기 위해 초청행사를 가지게 됐다”며 “계묘년 새해에는 모두가 행복한 한 해가 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.

Members invited to the event wore traditional costumes from each country and talked about each other's New Year's culture. After the meeting, the members looked around the park and had a good time.

The members who received the annual membership said, “Thank you for sharing your affection and heart with Gyeongju Expo, and we will do a lot of publicity for Gyeongju Expo in your hometown with your friends through social media.”

This event was prepared to comfort marriage migrant women who miss their hometowns during the Lunar New Year holiday, and to allow multicultural families, who are vulnerable to cultural tourism, to visit Gyeongju Expo Grand Park at any time to experience Korean history and culture. Annual memberships were also given to family members.
