대구시는 오는 14일부터 3박 4일 일정으로 베트남 다낭시에 대표단을 파견한다고 13일 밝혔다.

홍준표 대구시장은 방문 기간 지역 기업들의 수출 확대와 진출 가능성을 모색하고, 현지 에너지, 인프라 사업 등 다양한 프로젝트에 참여할 수 있도록 다각적인 경제교류 협력 방안을 논의할 계획이다.

공식 행사 첫날인 15일에는 홍준표 대구시장이 다낭시 인민위원회에서 '응 웬 반꽝' 당서기를 만나 대구와 다낭 간 우호교류 20년을 축하하는 환담의 시간을 가진다.

이 자리에서 홍준표 시장과 당서기는 대구시와 다낭시간에 변함없는 우정과 협력을 바탕으로 양 도시 간 경제교류 협력 등 다방면에서 교류 활성화 방안을 모색하고, 향후 우수시정 정책과 인적교류를 적극적으로 이어 나갈 계획이다.

이어 홍 시장은 다낭시청에서 대구시의 지역기업인 위니텍이 2022년 하반기부터 대구시 공적개발원조(ODA) 사업으로 추진 중인 ‘스마트도시 재난안전관리시스템 구축 사업’ 현황에 대한 브리핑 등 ODA 사업 설명회를 가진다.

ABB와 연계한 동 사업이 베트남을 포함해 전 세계 다른 지역으로도 확산될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하고, 관계자들을 독려할 예정이다. 

현재 대구는 ABB 기반 디지털 혁신 선도도시로 도약하기 위해 ABB 산업 기반을 구축하고, 수성알파시티에 디지털 혁신 거점을 마련을 위해 전력을 기울이고 있다. 

이날 오후에는 다낭시청 공무원 및 다낭 소재 대학 한국어학과 재학생 등 12명을 대구-다낭 우호친선대사(D-Lover)로 위촉하고, 향후 양 도시 간 우호 증진과 민간외교 첨병으로서의 활약을 당부한다. ‘디 러버’는 앞으로 2년간 대구의 공식 서포터즈로 활동하게 된다. 

16일에는 발전·설비 전문기업인 두산에너빌리티㈜(두산비나), 타이어코드를 생산하는 효성첨단소재㈜, LG전자 R&D 센터, ㈜덴티움(덴티움 ICT 비나), 의류기업 ㈜PANKO(팬코비나) 등 현지 주요 대기업 법인장들과 베트남과의 경제교류 현황과 향후 전망 등을 논의한다.

이 자리에는 강부성 다낭총영사, 김운태 KOTRA 다낭무역관장도 함께 해 대구시 지역 기업들의 베트남 현지 진출 확대 및 지원 방안을 모색할 예정이다. 

아울러 오후에는 베트남 대기업 중 하나인 쭝남그룹(응우옌 떰 틴 회장)과 재생에너지, 혁신기술 산업활성화를 위한 MOU를 체결한다. 이를 통해 재생에너지, 혁신 기술 등 관련 분야 협력, 혁신 기술 단지 정책교류나 초청연수 프로그램 협력 사업 등 교류를 활성화해 나갈 계획이다.

홍준표 대구시장은 “베트남이 세계 공장 중국을 대체할 수 있는 새로운 시장으로 주목받고 있는 만큼 대구에도 매우 중요하다. 지역기업의 대(對) 베트남 수출을 늘리고 현지 시장 진출 확대 등 실질적인 경제효과를 얻을 수 있도록 적극적인 지원과 함께 앞으로도 다낭을 비롯한 호찌민, 박닌성 등 대구시 자매우호도시를 중심으로 한 베트남 지역과 우호와 친선, 경제협력 관계를 더욱 공고히 해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
