【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 ‘생태전환교육 실천학교’를 확대 운영한다.

13일 대구시교육청은 환경교육에 대한 학교자율성을 강화하고 환경교육 실천 역량을 제고하기 위한 생태전환 교육 지원에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이를 위해 교육청은 ‘생태전환교육 실천학교’를 초ㆍ중ㆍ고ㆍ특수학교 110교로 확대 운영하고, 교당 250만 원씩 총 2억7천5백만 원을 지원한다.

생태전환교육 실천학교는 학생과 학교가 자발적으로 지속가능한 삶을 위한 다양한 환경교육 프로그램을 운영하는 학교로, 내실 있는 환경교육을 추진하기 위해 주제 중심 프로젝트 수업을 통해 하나의 주제로 재구성하여 프로젝트 학습, 범 교과, 창의적 체험활동 등으로 연간 8차시 이상 환경수업을 운영한다.

생태전환교육 실천학교에서는 학생 자치회 중심으로 학교별 특성이 반영된 1교 1특색 환경 실천과제를 선정ㆍ운영하여 지속적인 환경교육이 실천될 수 있도록 한다.

또한 오는 9월 9일부터 10일까지 2일간 열리는 대구창의융합교육축전에 참가해 학교별 특색에 맞는 환경부스를 운영하고, 환경의 날에 맞춰 학교별 다양한 환경교육 행사를 추진할 예정이다.

아울러 학교 환경교육 실천지원단을 구성하여 생태전환교육 실천학교에 대한 맞춤형 컨설팅을 실시하여 보다 내실 있고 원활한 운영을 돕고, 생태전환교육 실천학교별 우수 운영사례를 발굴하고 공유함으로써 관내 모든 학교에서 우수 운영사례를 참고하여 학교별 특성에 맞는 다양한 환경교육을 운영할 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.

강은희 교육감은 “인간과 환경이 공존하는 지속가능한 미래의 주인공인 우리 학생들이 함께 실천하고 참여할 수 있는 다양한 정책들을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
