【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=군위군 학생이 대구 소재 학교로의 진학이 가능해졌다.

10일 대구시교육청은 오는 7월 군위군 편입에 따른 학생 적정 배치 등을 위해 취학권역 설정, 학군 조정 등 학교급별 고시안을 행정예고 했다고 밝혔다.

이번 고시안은 유치원 취학 권역 설정, 중학교 학교군‧중학구 설정, 고등학교 학군, 군위고의 학교유형 등에 대한 내용이다.

이안에 따르면 유치원 취학 권역은 기존 20권역에서 21권역 군위읍, 22권역 소보면, 23∼24권역 효령면, 25권역 부계·산성면, 26권역 우보면, 27권역 의흥면 및 삼국유사면 일부, 28권역 삼국유사면 등 8개 권역이 추가되어 28권역으로 조정되고 초등학교는 현재 설정된 통학구역으로 유지된다. 

중학교의 경우 군위, 효령, 부계, 우보, 의흥 등 군위군 내 입학 배정권역 5개 중학구가 추가되면서 3개였던 기존 중학구가 8개로 조정된다.

중학교 입학 예정 학생은 거주지가 속한 학교군 및 중학구 내 진학 희망학교로 지원할 수 있다.

군위읍 소보면 사리2리는 의성군 경북중부중학교 학구로 지정되어 있지만 해당 지역 학생의 통학여건 및 진학학교 선택권 확대를 위해 군위중학교에도 진학할 수 있도록 자유학구로 조정된다.

고등학교는 군위군의 위치 및 교통 여건 등을 고려하여 중구, 동구, 북구, 수성구, 달성군 가창면과 동일한 1학군으로 편입하였으며 군위고의 경우 학교장 입학전형을 실시하는 선지원고로 지정했다.

이에 따라 2024학년도부터 군위군 중학생들은 대구 지역 추첨배정고를 포함한 모든 학교로 지원이 가능하며 군위고 진학을 희망할 경우에도 지역우선전형을 통해 군위군 지역 출신 학생이 정원의 70%를 우선 진학이 가능하다.

강은희 교육감은 “군위군 편입에 따라 학군이 조정되면 군위군 학생과 학부모들의 학교 선택권이 넓어지고 교육적 혜택이 더욱 확대될 것으로 기대된다.”면서 “군위군 학생들이 교육적으로 소외되지 않도록 교육환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

As a result, from the 2024 school year, middle school students in Gunwi-gun can apply to all schools, including the lottery-allocated high schools in Daegu.
