권영진 예비후보는 “갑진년 저의 소원은 달서구 주민들의 건강과 행복을 기원하는 것이며, 또 하나는 ‘대구 신청사의 조기완성’과 ‘두류관광특구 조성’, ‘서대구 순환 모노레일’이 순조롭게 진행되어 ‘대구의 새로운 중심, 달서 시대의 원년’이 됐으면 한다.”라고 기원했다.
권 예비후보는 “새해는 중력이산(衆力移山)의 자세로 저와 달서구 주민이 함께하면, 반드시 달서구에 새로운 도약을 이루어 낼 수 있을 것”이라며 신년 각오를 다졌다.
권영진 전 시장은 지난해 12월 12일 예비후보 등록을 마치고, 16일 사무실 개소식에 이어, 26일 출판기념회도 시민들의 높은 관심 속에 성황리 마쳤다. 특히 새해 첫 일정으로 권영진의 달서구 3대 공약과 연관 있는 두류공원 금봉산에서 신년 각오를 다졌다는 점이 눈길을 끌고 있다.
