두 사람은 11일 오전 국민의힘 대구시당에서 이인선 의원의 단독 추대를 수용하기로 합의했다는 입장을 밝혔다.

권 의원은 “대구와 당을 위한 길이라 판단해 양보를 택했다”며 “출마를 통해 대구의 위기와 정치 혁신에 대한 메시지를 충분히 전달했다고 생각한다”고 밝혔다.

이날 양측은 합의문을 통해, 권 의원은 후보에서 사퇴하고, 이인선 의원은 당선 시 권영진 후보의 ‘5대 비전과 15대 약속’을 성실히 실천할 것을 약속했다.
